Résumé

Lyapunov functions enable the stability analysis of dynamic systems described by ordinary differential equations without finding the solution of such equations. In this paper, we construct a quadratic Lyapunov function for SIR model with demography in analogy with a linear system, and show that the SIR model with demography is asymptotically stable using this quadratic Lyapunov function. This quadratic Lyapunov function satisfies the disease free and endemic equilibrium.
