Journal of NSMB Call for Papers

The Journal of the Nigerian Society for Mathematical Biology (JNSMB), the official journal of the Nigerian Society for Mathematical Biology, disseminates original research findings relating mathematics to the biological sciences. The aim of the journal is to cause to be published research that shows the connection between applied mathematicians, statisticians, operations researchers,

physicists, engineers, computer scientists and specialists in the fields of agriculture, public health, epidemiology, pharmacy, life sciences and other bio-medical fields at the crossroad of theoretical, experimental and field biology with the mathematical sciences, in order to provide solutions to problems that cut across these fields through exchange of ideas and collaborations.

Submitted papers should provide rigorous mathematical analysis of the biological issues being discussed. At the same time, the results obtained should be useful in a biological context and easily understandable by non-mathematicians. The Journal also welcomes experimental results from any biological process. The journal will accept different kinds of articles, ranging from review articles to special invitations. All submitted manuscript will be assessed by the Editor-in-Chief before being sent out for peer-review.

Areas covered include, cellular and sub-cellular biology, physiology, epidemiology, ecology, development and morphogenesis, genetics, neurobiology, population biology, immunology, molecular biology, DNA and protein structures and functions, plant biology, animal biology, eco-toxicology, pharmacokinetics, public health, bio-engineering, bio-statistics, bio-fluid dynamics, and  computational biology.

CALL FOR PAPER

This is to invite you to submit high-quality research papers to make up the inaugural edition and volume of the Journal of the Nigerian Society for Mathematical Biology (JNSMB). The area of research should be any of the above-mentioned subject topics.

Manuscripts should be written either using MS Word or in Latex. Initial submissions can be in MS Word or PDF. There will be a page restriction of 26 pages per article. The article should be concise and well established mathematical methods and results can be omitted.

Submissions are allowed all year round.

Submissions can also be made using the online system at our Journal webpage; please, still send the manuscript to mscb@uniben.edu. There will be a publication charge for each accepted article. Payment details will be corresponded to the authors at the time of acceptance.
